Peter Y. Waller
Chairman, President & CEO
"Let's roll up our sleeves, get to work and make it happen."
Growing up in Florida, Pete Waller knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur. The only question was which business he would choose. In his 20s Pete took his first banking job at Exchange National Bank in Winter Haven, Florida. It was a perfect fit and only nine years later Pete moved to Wyoming to be Vice President and later President of Dubois National Bank. In 1990, Pete's reputation as an outstanding manager made him an easy choice to lead First National Bank of the Rockies (formerly the First National Bank of Meeker). Today, as FNBR's Chairman, President & CEO, Pete is doing just what he planned – with a bank that he has nurtured into solid success and continued growth.
When Pete isn't working, you'll find him adding to his extensive wine collection, taking hunting trips at home and abroad, and volunteering in charitable organizations including Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado. Pete also encourages his bank managers to volunteer in their communities and offer financial assistance to organizations benefiting children. The Boys & Girls Club of Craig and the Western Slope Harley Riders Toy Run are some of the beneficiaries of FNBR's generous donations.
As FNBR continues to grow and serve the communities of western Colorado, you'll find Pete Waller working along side his managers to ensure that FNBR will always be "Your Bank"
