Email Fraud Scheme

On Monday, August 18th First National Bank of the Rockies received calls
reporting that Colorado residents are being targeted by an email fraud
scheme.
An email message is being delivered telling residents that their First
National Bank of the Rockies card has irregular activity on 8/18/08 and
that they should call (888)869-0385 or other toll free numbers to
activate their card. Once called, a recorded messages ask for card number,
pin, social security number or variations thereof.
This is a fraudulent scheme designed to obtain your card number, pin and/or
Social Security number. Do Not Call these
Numbers.
First National Bank of the
Rockies will never send such a message and will never ask you for your
card number and pin number over the phone or via email. Do not respond to this fraudulent
request.
If you have responded to this scheme please
call our Client Services representatives at 970-242-2255 so we can close
your debit card and reissue you a new card. |
